Headset only gives sound to one ear.
well yeah, pretty annoying really. Its not just the Headset because my mp3 ears (3 sets of em) have the same problem, any of you have an idea what it might be?

Check the balance sliders in the Windows volume controls first.
Then, try the headset in something else than your computer. If it works ok you've probably broken the computer's audio out jack. |

i've put it on my pod, and it works fine there, but i have 2 jack outputs, and i couldn't have boken both.

Sometimes you can blow your soundcard by plugging the speakers/headset in the pink mic-jack port and the mic into the green speaker jack port...but yeah do a test with the sliders in volume control. And if not then i suggest buying a new soundcard

Some plug socket combinations are a problem try moving the plug in and out slightly and see if that fixes the problem.
I have a multi adapter that has this "feature" if the plug is fully home one side doesnt give any sound move it out a fraction and its fine. |

It could be a short in your headset cord. Try turning it a bit when it's plugged in. I have that problems sometimes and a small twist usually fixes it.

My money's on the plug. There's some variance in line connector dimensions that can make some headsets not make good connections with some jacks. (Plugs also have a nasty habit of getting slightly bent.) Try slowly rotating the plug in the jack to see if you can find a spot where both channels make a connection.
